*Obituary
Benton County Democrat
Thursday, October 4, 1906
DEASON, Pierce - Pierce Deason died at the home of his father, Jerry Deason, two and a half miles north of Rogers, last Thursday, after an illness of several days from typhoid fever. He was formerly employed in the restaurant of W.R. DeSpain here and afterward engaged in the barber business at Rogers. During his stay here he made many friends. Mr. Deason was twenty-one years old, a member of the Baptist church and was liked by all who knew him and his seemingly untimely death is deeply regretted by a large circle of friends and relatives, all of whom have the sympathy of The Democrat in their sad bereavement. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A.L. Jordon of the Rogers First Baptist church.
