Poinsett County,
Arkansas

b. 10 Feb 1913 in Algoa, Jackson Co., Arkansas, USA
d. 17 Aug 2001 in Weiner, Poinsett Co., Arkansas, USA

William Robert Linn was the son of Robert Benjamin Linn and his wife, Jessie Lee JAMES. William or Uncle Robert as we called him, was married to Mary Elizabeth INGRAM on 2 May 1931 in Weiner, Poinsett Co., Arkansas. They had seven children, one of which died as a young boy from eating green apples (James Ervine Linn b. 7 Sep 1934 in Arkansas and d. 20 Jul 1936 in Arkansas).

Robert proudly served in World War II along with his four brothers, LeRoyce, James Ray, Charles Rudolph and Robert Benjamin Jr. Robert was a Private in the U.S. Army.

Following the war, Robert lived for a short period in Michigan initially working with General Motors in one of the plants. He later moved back to his home state of Arkansas settling in Weiner.

I know the loss of his little son, James Ervine, still hurt Uncle Robert as late as 1981 as he told me about the death of his son at that time.

Robert was a good man.
