William "Willie" Linn was the son of Robert Linn and Catherine HYSAW. He married Belle PHILLIPS on 19 March 1911 in Weiner, Poinsett Co., Arkansas. Belle was pregnant with their child when Willie died. Belle died in childbirth in c1912 (same year as Willie died) in Algoa, Jackson County, Arkansas. Both Belle and the child died during childbirth.
Great grandpa Linn (Robert) and his sons cut timber for a living. While his son, Willie, was cutting timber one day, he severely injured himself. To relieve pressure on the saw, lumbermen would drive a wedge into a tree with a sledgehammer. Unfortunately, when Willie hit the wedge, the metal had curled over and a piece of it flew off and hit him in the stomach severely injuring him. He lived a short while and then died from the wound.
Willie was a handsome man, and his wife, Belle, was a very pretty woman. Such a tragic story that this couple both died young.
