LINDSEY, Caldonia M. DERRICK - Died of consumption on the morning of Sept. 1st, 1890 at a few minutes after four o'clock, Caldonia M. Lindsey, wife of G.W. Lindsey of this place, aged 35 years, 9 months and 1 day. Caldonia M. Derrick was born in Benton Co., Mo. Dec. 29th, 1854 and moved with her parents to this county in 1866 and joined the M.E. Church, South. She was married to G.W. Lindsey Dec. 14, 1873. She was the mother of eight children, five daughters and three sons, all of whom survive her except one son by whose side she now sleeps in the Butler Creek cemetery. Her funeral was preached by the Rev. J.M. McGraw at the Baptist church on Butler's Creek on Sept. 2nd, 1890 to a large concourse of friends and relatives. (F.G. Lindsey, Jr.)
