Ms. Thelma L. Coleman of Fort Smith,Arkansas, died Saturday, September 8, 2007, at Sparks Peachtree Palliative Care in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Ms. Coleman was 85 years old. She was the daughter of the late William R. and Emma L. Head. Ms. Coleman married Joseph E. Coleman on the 18th day of October, 1941, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Ms. Coleman was a homemaker and a member of Haven Heights Baptist Church.

Ms. Coleman was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Joseph "Joe" E. Coleman; a daughter: Anna Marie Coleman; and a brother: Willie R. Head.
She is survived by three three daughters: Connie Stevens of Maumee, Ohio, Patty Bateman and her husband Rick of Greenwood, Arkansas and Cindi Suchecki and her husband Tom of Rogers, Arkansas; one son: Bill Coleman and wife Judy of Fort Smith, Arkansas; 12 precious grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and dear friends.
