Patsy J. (Hoffman) Coleman was born on July 13, 1934 to Charles J. and Helen (Brown) Hoffman, who preceded her in death.
Patsy passed from this life to her home in heaven on August 10, 2016.
She had the voice of an angel and loved to sing for her Lord & Savior, due to her singing talent she was invited to sing for the opening/ dedication of Bud Harper Stadium. She recorded an album/ collection of religious hymns that many people have enjoyed. She was a graduate with honors of St. Anne's Academy in 1952. She was a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church in Barling, Arkansas. She was employed during her high school years with American Optical in Fort Smith and later in her life after raising her children, she was employed for many years in sales with Newton's Jewelry in Fort Smith.
Family was the most important and special thing in her life.
She was a dedicated and loving Mother to her two children who survive her. Her son Rod Coleman (wife, Kathy) of Fort Smith and daughter Patti (Coleman) Rausch (husband, Fred) of Lowell, Arkansas. Her sister, Ann (Hoffman) Solf (husband, Fred) of Fort Smith. A Niece, Suzie (husband, Jeff) Holleman of Tulsa and great-nephew, Gage Holleman of Tulsa.
Her grandchildren: Rob Coleman (wife, Jessica) of Rogers, Arkansas. Elizabeth (Coleman) Voris (husband, Justin) of Fort Smith, Arkansas. John Rausch (wife, Ashley) of Lowell, Arkansas. Mollie (Rausch)Lieux (husband, Stephen) of Lowell, Arkansas. She was so blessed to have 10 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 15, 2016 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
Private family graveside service and interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery, Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be: Her grandsons, Rob Coleman, John Rausch. Also, Justin Voris (husband of granddaughter Elizabeth), Stephen Lieux (husband of granddaughter Mollie), Fred Solf (brother in law) & Gage Holleman (great-nephew).
