Una Bell Cain Thompson, 96 of Huttig, AR passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, AR.
Mrs. Thompson was born February 4, 1920 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to the union Hugh Cain and Florence Joplin Cain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Floyd "Burhead" Thompson, Sr., son, Floyd "Butch" Thompson, Jr., four brothers, Thomas "Sleepy" Cain, Hugh "Pete" Cain, Billy Cain, and Merton "Tooter" Cain, and a sister, Merl Arrant.
Mrs. Thompson retired from the Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Huttig, and the Huttig Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her three grandchildren; Rachale Franklin, Lance Thompson and wife Jamie and Michael Fowler, three great grandchildren, Mason Thompson, Chase Franklin, and Tyler Franklin, two sisters, Bessie Broussard and Betty Jordan.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Huttig.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Huttig with Rev. Luther Harris and Rev. Todd Gunter officiating. Interment will be in the Harper Springs Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, El Dorado, AR.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Harper Springs Cemetery Fund or the John R. Williamson Hospice House.
