Russell R. Brown, 74 year old resident of Rt 1, Decatur, Ark., died Sunday, Aug. 13, at the Gravette Medical Crater. He was born Feb. 4, 1904 at Elm Spring's, Ark., the son of John and Vesta Camden Brown. He was a retired carpenter and a lifelong resident of the area. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic York Rite Bodies.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice, of the home; four sons, Al of Placerville, Calif., Howard of Upland, Calif., C.R. "Jim" of Ontario, Can., and Virgil of Gentry, Ark.; one daughter, Mrs. Frances Simmerman of Ontario, Can.; one brother, Elford Brown of Elm Springs, Ark.; twenty-five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Services will he held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 17, at the Wasson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Pat Layne officiating and burial in the Elm Springs Cemetery under the direction of the Wasson Funeral Home.
