Cyril Curtis Moore was born 15 October 1908 in Sebastian County, Arkansas, USA. He was the oldest of three children born to William Newton Moore (1879-1954) and Maggie Estelle [O'Bryant] Moore (1882-1954). Siblings: Maggie Edra [Moore] Cabe/Efurd (1910-2004), and William Quentin Moore (1918-2006). At the age of 38, he married Elizabeth Coward (1927-2011) on 6 May 1947 in Mansfield, Sebastian, Arkansas. Elizabeth was 19 years of age. They became the parents of John W. Moore (1950-1980) and Phillip R. Moore. He passed away at the age of 92 on 4 March 2001 in Poteau, Leflore, Oklahoma.
Sequoyah County Times, March 8, 2001--Funeral services for Cyril Curtis MOORE, 92, of Poteau were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, Ark. Burial was in Union Ridge Cemetery in Dayton, Ark., under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood. Mr. MOORE died Sunday, March 4, 2001, in a Poteau hospital. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of the home; one son, Phillip; three grandchildren; one sister, Maggie; and one brother, Quinton. Mr. MOORE was preceded in death by one son, John MOORE.

Ms. Elizabeth Coward Moore, 84, of Fort Smith, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2011 in a local nursing home. She was a retired L.P.N. with Sparks Regional Medical Ceneter; and she was a member of First Baptist Church in Stigler, Oklahoma.
Ms. Moore is survived by one son: Phillip Moore of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; one brother: Floyd Coward and his wife, Paula of Mansfield, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Jonathan, Zachary and Levi Moore, all of Muldrow, Oklahoma; one niece, six nephews and several great nieces and nephews, and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis; one son, Staff Sgt. John Moore and a sister, Vivian Coward.
Funeral services were held on 12/10/2011 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel, in Greenwood, Arkansas.
Ms. Moore was laid to rest at Union Ridge Cemetery, near Cross Roads area, under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
Pallbearers were her nephews: Mark Coward, Gary Coward, Darrick Coward, Cyril Cabe, Cecil Cabe, and Johnny Cabe.
