December 1, 1950 - June 21, 1980
John William Moore, age 29, a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, died Saturday at Shemya Air Force Base in Alaska Funeral services were held Sat at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, Arkansas with burial in Union Cemetery with full military honors.A member of the Stigler First Baptist Church,he joined the Air Force shortly after graduation from high school in 1969. Survivors include his wife Karen of Schertz, Texas, his parents,Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Moore of Poteau, Oklahoma; one brother Phillip of Poteau and his maternal grandmother Mrs.Ambie Coward of Mansfield, Arkansas.
