R.L. HOLLAND OF HIGHFILL PASSES AWAY
R.L. Holland, a long resident of the Highfill community, died at his home Saturday afternoon. Had he lived until April 6th, he would have been 72 years of age.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Highfill on Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Holland comes from a long line of pioneers, who settled in the south part of the county many of them whom were buried in the old cemetery at Thornsberry Campground. He was a native of Georgia.
Besides his widow, he is survived by five sons, Oscar, Elisha, Marshall, Robert and Henry, also by a daughter, Mrs. W.D. Rife.
