Herbert Brown, 68, of Lavaca, Arkansas entered into rest on Saturday May 12, 2012 in Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith.

Herbert had a great love for all things outdoors, fishing, hunting, gardening, or working, passion and love always abound. He was active in the community and church endeavors including numerous mission trips to aide other communities in need across this country and abroad. Through all this, nothing compared to his love for his beautiful wife and family and their love for him. He impacted all that he touched in a profound way and will truly be missed.

Survivors include is wife Lynda Gayle of 51 years of the home, Glynieta and husband Jeff Price of Lavaca, Cliftena and husband Ed Gooch of Fort Smith, Lydell and husband Rick Hays of Hot Springs, Seven grandchildren, Aaron and Christen Price, Chris Haddick, Randi Price, Timi Rae Haddick, Max Hays, Jacob Price and Jayln Hays, three great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Drake Haddick and Kaylee Price, also special extended family, Robbie and Cynthia, Brandon, Sara, Josh, Hannah Tingle of Sherwood, AR, two brothers, Junior Brown of Pocola, OK and George Brown of Fort Smith and was loved by numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Myrtle Brown, three brothers, Hampton, Don and Bill, three sisters, Lucille, Betty and Grace and one grandson Nikolas Hays.

Funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at First Southern Baptist Church, Central City, AR with interment at Oak Valley Cemetery, Lavaca.

Family will receive friends Monday, 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel, Lavaca, AR.

Pallbearers will be Aaron, Chris, Jacob, Max, Brandon, Josh and Drake.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eural Tittsworth Sunday School Class.

Lynda Gayle Brown, 71, of Lavaca, Arkansas was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on Monday, February 11, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. A talented seamstress, Lynda Gayle created Beautiful dresses for her daughters, family, and community as well as her quilted masterpieces. She also showed her devotion to the Lord by teaching Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, and taking mission trips with Women on Mission. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church. She was always at hand for anyone in need. Lynda Gayle lived her last days as she lived her entire life: surrounded by loved ones and fighting with passion and conviction with an uncompromised elegance equaled by few, surpassed by none. She was the widow of the late Herbert Brown to whom she was married to for 51 years. Survivors include daughters, Glynieta and husband Jeff Price of Lavaca, AR, Cliftena and husband Ed Gooch of Fort Smith, AR, Lydell and husband Rick Hays of Hot Springs, AR, Seven Grandchildren, Aaron and Christen Price, Chris Haddick, Randi Price, Timi Rae Haddick, Max Hays, Jacob Price, and Jalyn Hays, three great-grandchildren, Brookly and Drake Haddick and Kaylee Price. Also, special extended family Robby and Cynthia, Brandon, Sara, Josh and Hannah Tingle of Sherwood, AR, One brother, Dane Douglas of Lavaca, sisters, Kay Strozier of Greenwood, AR, Donna Douglas, Bevelyn Hearn and Kendra Fulmer all of Lavaca, AR, and loved by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Dorothy Douglas, brother, Lowell Douglas, and Grandson Nikolas Hays. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, at First Southern Baptist Church, Central City, Arkansas with interment at Oak Valley Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel, Lavaca, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Aaron, Chris, Jacob, Max, Brandon, Josh, Bobby, Pat and Drake. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lavaca Class of 1959 and Senior Ladies Class of the First Southern Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to First Southern Baptist. Viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Lewis Funeral Chapel, Lavaca, AR.
