Farris Craig Wood, 90 of Pangburn, Arkansas was born to Julian J. and Hazel Craig Wood on July 27, 1925 in Pangburn and passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015 in Heber Springs.
Mr. Wood served as Mayor of Pangburn for 16 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Pangburn. He was a loving, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Jean and his second wife, Avanell, a granddaughter, Amanda Henderson.
He is survived by his sister Nelda Durham of Searcy, two daughters, Donna Cymmer, Lynn Haven, Florida, Denise Henderson of Levittown, New York, a son, Douglas Wood, wife Mily Wood, of Putnum Valley New York, three granddaughters, Jeanna Henderson, Lisa Cymmer, Page Wood, two grandsons, Taylor Wood, Dale Farris Wood, two great-grandaughters, Katelyn Cymmer, Madison Henderson Longo, two step-sons, Gary Doyle of Pangburn, Carthel Doyle of Searcy, three step-daughters, Gwen Dunham of Beebe, Rebecca Russenburg , Sharon Cullum both of Searcy, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Pangburn from 6-8 PM. Funeral Services will be at the church at 2 PM Wednesday, August 26, 2015 with Brother Alan Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Henderson Cemetery.
