Percy (P.B.) Burkhart, 87, of Rudy passed away Saturday, Feb., 21, 2015, in a local hospital. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a retired furniture factory worker. He was a charter member and honorary deacon of New Hope Church near Rudy. His first wife, Betty Jo, passed away in 1991, and his second wife, Patsy, passed away in 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harmon and Sarah Depew Burkhart; several brothers and sisters; and a stepson, Mike Suggs.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Hope Church near Rudy with burial in Mt. McCurry Cemetery in Rudy with the Rev. Sanford Yarbrough officiating under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

Survivors are two daughters, Theresa Ann English and husband Tom of Waco and Dena Cottrell and husband Glen of Dyer; five grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Anita Burkhart and Sharon Hood of Van Buren; and a stepson, Bruce Suggs of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Burkhart, Bruce Suggs, Ricky Hood, Dinnie Waldrop, Brandon Champion and Mike Roe.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the church.
