Bobby Gene Burkhart, 74, of Rudy, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014 in a local hospital.
He was a retired Supervisor for Riverside Furniture having worked for 44 years and he attended Friendly Pentecostal Church of God in Van Buren, AR.
He was born March 9, 1940 in Crawford County, Arkansas to the late Jim and Nellie (Kenner) Burkhart.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph Burkhart.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in Mt. McCurry Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
Survivors include one son, Gary Burkhart and wife Diane of Rudy, AR; two grandsons, Lance and Hunter Burkhart both of Rudy, AR; two sisters, Coreena Cockrum of Van Buren, AR and Ruby Neil Pierce of Alma, AR; 8 brothers, Jimmy Burkhart of Alma, Johnny Lee Burkhart of Van Buren, Macky Burkhart of Rudy, Ted Burkhart of Alma, Roy Burkhart of Kibler, Troy Burkhart of Rudy, Billy Don Burkhart and David Burkhart both of Rudy and one step son, George Garvin of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be Lance Burkhart, Hunter Burkhart, Loyd Welbern, Benny Perryman, Stanley Burkhart and Lloyd Cockrum. Honorary pallbearers will be His Brothers and Sister.
