April 12, 1873 - March 2, 1966
Mrs. Martha Scott died Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. She was born in Magnolia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wade Collins. She was married to Ed Scott in 1889. To this union five children were born. In 1910 they moved to the Spring Hill community on Stephens Route. She died at the age of 92 years, 10 months and 18 days. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mary Silliman, Oakland, Calif., one son Mitchell Scott of Stephens, 51 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Scott's funeral was Sunday, March 6 at the Sweet Home Baptist Church near Buena Vista. (Camden News - March 8, 1966)
