Odessa Freeman Scott, 80 of Camden, AR was born July 23, 1931 in Ouachita County to the late Seymore and Lillie Mae Freeman. She departed this life on May 15, 2012 at Ouachita Nursing and Rehab Center.

Odessa joined Shady Grove Baptist Church at an early age. In 1984 she joined Mt. Gillard Baptist Church. She served faithfully until her health failed. She worked at Masterson Garment and also International Paper Company in the boiler department.

Odessa was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and two sisters. She leaves to cherish her life, a devoted son, James McCoy; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; nine sisters, Lessie Lester, Mary Ellen Montgomery, Alice J. Falls, Pat (Leonard) McCoy, Betty J. (Wes) Parham, Paulette Seals, JoAnn King-Minor, Bessie (Jimmy) King all of Camden; and Mary Fairley of Cleveland, OH; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Odessa was loved and respected by many, as well as her family. She always wore a smile and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Proctor Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Dwight Webster will officiate the services. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
