August 21, 1948 - October 14, 2017
Bobby Lynn Owens, 69 of El Dorado, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.
Born August 21, 1948 in El Dorado, he was the son of Ferrell Parks and Lena Carnell Cullins Owens who preceded him in death. Mr. Owens was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Gilmore Owens, a daughter, Rebekah Hively (Kyle) of Vilonia, AR and a son, Wil Owens (Amanda) of El Dorado, sisters, Shirley Parnell (Eddie) of Warren, AR and Glenda Adams (Danny) of Banks and a brother, Darryl Owens (Sandra) of El Dorado. Surviving grandchildren are Drew Owens, Clay Owens, Jack Hively and Hank Hively.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery with Scott Johnson officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at Young’s.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
