William Wayne Cook, 76, of McRae, passed from this life February 28, 2020 with his family at his side. He was born January 3, 1944 at Brinkley to the late Luther and Beatrice Clinton Cook.
While living life to the fullest, he farmed with his father for many years. He worked part-time for the Monroe County Sheriff’s office. Along with a short period of time working with the D.E.A. He loved hunting and fishing with his family as well as numerous other activities he’ll be remembered for. Most importantly he was known for his cotton farming stories and his love for Jesus Christ.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 56 years, Billie Mooney Cook; son, Joey Cook (Cheryl); grandkids, Nathan Cook (Amber), Shalena Langsford (Jason), Trevor Woodham, Michala Hendrix (Mason), Tyler Hendrix (Mattie), Mallory Teague (Daniel), and Matthew Cook; great grandkids, Kylie, Christian, Julio, Christopher, Chloe, Jaselyn, and Noah; brothers, Ed Cook (Cathy) of Cabot and Gene Cook of Brinkley; as well as a host of additional family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leonard Cook; sister, Ella Mae Walker; daughter, Pamela Cook Hendrix; and two great grandchildren, Baby Peterson and Baby Teague.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Sullivan Funeral Care. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2020 at Grace Point United Pentecostal Church in Beebe. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery.
