Gordon Argie Taylor, 87, of Clarksville died Sunday, May 18, 2008, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Clarksville, son of the late Forbin G. and Edna Matthews Taylor, farmer and factory employee, member of Mount Vernon Church of Christ, and was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Jack Taylor.
Survivors include his wife, Velma Storms Taylor; one son, Randall G. Taylor of Clarksville and Fort Smith; and one brother, Garland M. Taylor of Clarksville.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Farrar officiating. Burial will be in Mount Airy Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Autry Meeker, Matt Meeker, D. J. Turner, Jim Cox, Rick Storms, and Lee Storms.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ransom Storms, Troy Taylor, and Forrest Taylor.
*Obituary for Velma Taylor
Velma Storms Taylor, 97 of Clarksville, AR, passed away Friday October 25, 2019 in Clarksville, AR. She was born December 12, 1921 in Clarksville, AR to Heron & Vada (Frost) Storms. Velma retired from the shoe plant. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and brothers Lee Storms, and Armil Storms.
Velma is survived by her son Randall & Beverly Taylor of Ft. Smith, AR; brother Ransom Storms of Clarksville, AR; and nephew Rick & Jan Storms of Clarksville, AR.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 29, 2019 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Farrar officiating. Burial will following in Mt. Airy Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
