When Quin Washington Edwards was born on February 2, 1928, in Rose Bud, Arkansas, his father, James, was 56 and his mother, Floria, was 35. He married Norma Jean McKay on January 29, 1947. They had three children during their marriage. He died on July 11, 1994, in Heber Springs, Arkansas, at the age of 66, and was buried in White, Arkansas.
