Norma Jean McKay Edwards of Searcy, Arkansas went to be with the Lord, Monday, November 3, 2008, after a battle with cancer. She was born April 8, 1932 to Loder (Jake) and Melinday Caroline (Rainey) McKay of Romance, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents: 4 brothers, Frank, Henry, Verdie & George McKay; 3 sisters, Della Benton, Lottie Slayton & Cordia Sheppard: 2 grandchildren; and her husband Quin Edwards.
She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved to piece quilt tops. Her greatest joy was visiting with her friends and relatives. She loved everyone and was truly concerned about them and their family.
She is survived by her 3 children: Donnie Quin & wife Debbie Edwards of Louisville, Kentucky: Ronnie Lee & wife Jo Ann Edwards of Heber Springs, Arkansas: and Barbara Jean & husband Gary Stubblefield of Searcy, Arkansas: 5 grandchildren: Norman & wife Krissy Marshall of Zanesfield, Ohio: Brianna Lee Moody, Ronnie Lee, Jr. & wife Rhonda Edwards, Tony Lynn Grarrett all of Rose Bud, Arkansas and Kelsey Blaire Edwards of Louisville, Kentucky: 6 great-grandchildren: Zane, Zoey & Zayla Marshall of Zanesfield, Ohio: Grant & Canton Moody and Payten Edwards, all of Rose Bud, Arkansas: 1 uncle: Wilburn & wife Jane Rainey of Higginson, Arkansas: brother-in-laws: sister-in-laws; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives; her Calvary Baptist Church family and many, many friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel with internment following at Romance Cemetery.
