Mr. James “Banie” Hill, 77, of Crossett, AR, died Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Ashley County Medical Center. He was a Hamburg native, but had resided in Crossett for the past 35 years, was a retiree of Georgia Pacific Plywood Mill and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Augustus & Alice Elizabeth Cason Hill and four brothers, Bobby, Eugene, Jr., Augustus & Jack Hill. He loved gardening and making people laugh.

He is survived by one son, Curtis Hill, wife Tonya of El Dorado, AR, two daughters, Alice Mae Henderson, husband Robert of Hamburg, AR and Annie Mae Davis, husband Henry of Riley, NC, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral services are Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 11:00 am at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. W.R. Taylor, officiating. Burial in Phillip Grove Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are Willie Holt, Germaine Fisher, Darrick Tucker, Demetrius Henderson, Rodney Hill & Curtland Hill. Honorary pallbearer is Brandon Davis.

Visitation Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 6-7 pm in the Cromwell chapel.
