SPRINGDALE — Luther Wilson Stamps, 78, of Springdale died Dec. 12, 2008. He was born July 13, 1930, in Hindsville to Ernest Eugene and Bessie Fay Fritts Stamps.

He was a Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was retired from George's Inc. as a dispatcher.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Darlene Turner Stamps.

Survivors include two sons, Luther E. Stamps and wife Rhonda Lynn and Charles Stamps and wife Rhonda Kaye, both of Springdale; one daughter, Kathy Stamps of Springdale; four brothers, John Stamps, Liga Stamps, Dickie Stamps and Henry Stamps, all of Springdale; two sisters, Ernestine Gipson and Sue Carol Doshier, both of Springdale; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Friendship Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Whittle officiating.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale.
