Charles "Charlie" Martin, 40, of Judsonia, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 17, 2013. He was born October 15, 1972 in Searcy and had been employed in construction for a number of years. Charlie was an avid outdoorsman and sports fan and was a loyal follower of the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was a kind-hearted man with a soft and tender spirit, an honest man and a very hard worker. Charlie was loved deeply by his family and friends and will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his father and step-mother, Adrien and Phyllis Martin of Griffithville; mother and step-father, Glinda and Michael Breen of Searcy; 2 sisters, Lisa Ramsey (Brian) of Southaven, Mississippi and Sherry Peters (Scott) of Searcy; grandmother, Wilma Martin of Searcy as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Macy Suzanne Martin; grandparents, Charles Vern Martin and Ted and Edna Lyle.
Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
