MELBOURNE — Clyde Harold Wilson, 75, of Melbourne died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, in Batesville.

Born Aug. 22, 1933, in Nauvoo, Ala., he was the son of Carlos and Delphia Marrow Wilson. He was united in marriage to Mary Belle Byrd on Dec. 23, 1953, in Chicago. He served for two years in the U.S. Army. He was employed by McDonnell Douglas Aircraft in Melbourne, retiring after 28 years of employment. He had a farm where he raised and sold cattle. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Belview Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years; a son, Dennis Wilson of Melbourne; a daughter, Aulanda McFarland of Melbourne; four grandchildren, Cary Wilson of Southaven, Miss., Courtney Wilson Watson of Rogers, Mindy McFarland Williams of Mountain Home and Andrew McFarland of Melbourne; and three great-grandchildren, Brent Michael Wilson, Aniston Renae Williams and Emery Belle Williams.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; two sisters; and a grandson, Travis McFarland.

Graveside funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Old Philadelphia Cemetery in Larkin with Tom Cone officiating.

Arrangements were by Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.

Pallbearers were Andrew McFarland, Heath Williams, Cary Wilson, Mark Watson, John Teague and Cordell Wuthrich.

Mary Belle Byrd Wilson, daughter of the late Henry Byrd and Frona Cook Byrd, was born August 8, 1934 in Larkin, Arkansas. She departed this life October 29, 2015 in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 81 years, 2 months and 21 days. She was united in marriage to Clyde Wilson December 23, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois and to this union two children were born. She spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. She was employed by Blankenship Drug Store for almost 20 years. In the late 1970's she owned and operated Possum Trot Western Store. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Belview Baptist Church in Melbourne.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Dennis and Elaine Wilson of Melbourne; one daughter: Aulanda McFarland of Melbourne; four grandchildren: Cary Wilson (Robin) of Manilla, Courtney Watson (Mark) of Rogers, Mindy Williams (Heath) of Mountain Home and Andrew McFarland (Katie) of Fayetteville; eight great grandchildren: Brent, Bailey and Bryce Wilson, Anniston, Emery and Sawyer Williams and Max and Loxley Watson and a host of other relatives and many good friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Clyde Wilson; one grandson: Travis Jackson McFarland; two brothers: Nelson Byrd and Truman Byrd and one sister: Sylvia Daniels.

Graveside funeral service will be Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Philadelphia Cemetery in Larkin, Arkansas with Gerald Coleman officiating under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.

Pallbearers: Dennis Wilson, Cary Wilson, Andrew McFarland, Heath Williams, Brent Wilson and Carl McFarland.
