Bobby Gene "Tobe" Whiteaker, Sr. the son of William Clatys Whiteaker and Ida Belle (Snelgroves) Whiteaker. Bobby Gene "Tobe" Whiteaker, Sr. was born in Pineville, Izard County, Arkansas and also died in Izard County, Arkansas. Mary Edith (Ivie) Whiteaker daughter of Irvan and Reble Ivie.

Mary Edith Ivie Whiteaker died on September 5th, 2019 in Calico Rock, AR. She was 88 years, 2 months, and 30 days old.

Mary Edith was born on June 6, 1931 in Crossroads, AR to her parents, Irvan and Reble Ivie. She married Bobby (Tobe) Whiteaker on November 2, 1947. To this union one son, Bobby (JR) was born and they resided in Crossroads. She was no stranger to hard work whether working locally or on the farm.

Mary Edith was a dedicated life-long member of Wise’s Chapel Landmark Missionary Baptist Church near her home at Crossroads where she was recognized as the longest standing member. Mary Edith was a prayer warrior not only for her church, but her family and her community. Family was a vital part of her entire life. From a very young age, she took joy in caring for and loving many generations of her family.

Mary Edith is survived by her siblings, Gayland, Dale, Joyce, Betty, Rayburn, and Martha; her grandchildren, Lorra Shaw (Jeff), Regina Love (Boone), Willie Whiteaker (Bailey); her great-grandchildren, Braden Queen (Kaci), Lauren Springfield (Austin), Gary Wayne Queen (Bailey), Ashtin Lamar (Greg), Hunter Queen, Lane McCurley, Kenley Whiteaker; 13 great-great grandchildren; her best friend of 77 years, Billie Moody and a host of other relatives and many good friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, son, and parents.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 7 from 6- 8 p.m. at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Funeral service will be Sunday, September 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Burial will be at Crossroads Cemetery in Pineville.

Memorials may be made to Crossroads Cemetery Maintenance Fund.

Pallbearers: Braden Queen, Gary Wayne Queen, Hunter Queen, Lane McCurley, Boone Love, Jeff Shaw.
