Edward D. Swilley, 66, of Ruston, La., died at noon Friday in a Ruston hospital following a brief illness. He was a native of El Dorado and a member of the First Baptist Church in Ruston. He was a retired wholesale grocer. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Fannie Swilley of Ruston, one son, Charles F. Swilley of Waskom, Texas, one daughter, Mrs. Ronald K. Brown of Bossier City, La.; three brothers, Monroe Swilley, Walter Swilley, and George Swilley, all of El Dorado, and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Spears Funeral Home Chapel Sunday at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. Clyde Fant, Jr. pastor of the First Baptist Church of Ruston. A short graveside service will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery in El Dorado and interment will follow. Services will be conducted by Spears Funeral Home in Ruston.
