Frank Ernest Swilley, Sr., 75, of Route 6, died suddenly Tuesday morning at a local hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Lisbon United Methodist Church with Revs. Winston Roden, Smith Williams and Nolan Brown officiating. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Mr. Swilley was born April 20, 1899 in Upland, Ark., the son of Wiley R. and Garner Austin Swilley. He was a retired lumberman, a member of the Lisbon United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nellie Flournoy Swilley, three sons, Frank E. (Buck) Swilley, Jr., of El Dorado, W. R. (Bill) Swilley of Lisbon and Calvin Swilley of Haynesville, La.; four daughters, Mrs. W. L. Benton of Camden, Mrs. Herman Darden and Mrs. James Lambert, both of Lisbon, and Mrs. George Haynie of El Dorado; two brothers, Buster Swilley of El Dorado and W. R. Swilley of Smackover; four sisters, Mrs. John Gulley of Kilgore, Tex., Mrs. Lloyd Reuter, Mrs. Gordon Jones and Mrs. Jim Nabor, all of El Dorado; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Terry Benton, Gary Swilley, Cliff Swilley, Dennis Darden, Wayne Fogle, Jerry Barksdale, Jeff Swilley and Randy Swilley. Honorary pallbearers will be Aylmer Darden, Walker Darden, W. A. Watson, R. L. Pendleton, Virgil Welch, J. B. Lambert, Dr. James B. Weedman, Dr. Berry L. Moore, Jr. The body will be taken to the church at 12:30 p.m. (El Dorado News-Times - November 20, 1974)
