ROGERS — Aubie Eugene Turner, 93, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014.

Aubie was born on Aug. 14, 1920, in Marshall County, Ala., a son of George Lewis Turner and Lula Brazell Turner.

He was a farmer who worked various jobs in his lifetime, enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was a member of the Lowell First Baptist Church. Aubie was veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Turner in 2010 and a daughter Reda Stewart.

He is survived by one son, Terry and wife Paula Turner of Rogers; three daughters, Sue and husband Chuck Renfro of Rogers, Lucy Turner of Rogers, and Tijuana and husband Randy Clark of Pea Ridge; one brother, Guy Turner of Gadsden, Ala.; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Springdale on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. Pastor Jack Galbraith will officiate the service with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery with military honors under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.
