Mrs. Lula Ophelia Hanry, 81, of Rt. 2, Junction City, died Sunday evening in a local hospital following a short illness. Mrs. Hanry was born at New Hope on Nov. 29, 1888, and was the daughter of William Buck and Georgia Ann Hicks Jolley. She was a lifelong resident of Union County and was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Goyne Bob Hanry of Junction City; three brothers, C. L. Jolley and G. D. Jolley, both of El Dorado, and Smead Jolley of California; two sisters, Mrs. J. L. Hanry of El Dorado and Mrs. Will Hayes of Junction City; and one grandson. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Bray officiating. Burial will be in Jolley Cemetery under direction of Rumph Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Billy Morris, Harley Courtney, Bill Owen, John Lee Owens, Jolley Hanry and John Roy Langley. The family will be at the J. L. Hanry residence, 606 College Ave. (El Dorado Times - February 23, 1970)
