Floyd Parker Gilbert, 88, of Siloam Springs, died July 30, 1992 in West Siloam Springs, Okla.

Mr. Gilbert was born Dec. 25, 1903 in Cyanide, S.D., to Guy Garfield Gilbert and Gertrude Tutty Gilbert.

He was a teacher at Ozark Academy in Gentry, and had been a Gentry resident since 1962. Gilbert was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Gentry.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Gilbert, of the home; two sons, Donald F. Gilbert of Adelph, Md. and Orlo R. Gilbert of Ooltewah, Tenn.; two step-sons, Roland Roland Robertson of North Palm Springs, Calif. and Jack Robertson of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Freeman James Gilbert of Belle Fourche, S.D.; a sister, Blanche Davis of Myrtle Creek, Ore.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Seventh-day Adventist Church in Gentry.

Burial will be in Gentry Cemetery by Elder Glenn Hill and Elder Bruce Aalborg.

Services are by Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Mrs. Alice Mildred Gilbert, 70, Rt. 1, Siloam Springs, died March 25 in Washington Regional Medical Center. Born Aug. 20, 1905, in Exira, Iowa, she was the daughter of Adolph and Meta Aagaard Sornson and a member of Seventh-Day Adventist Church. A retired schoolteacher, she was a member of the National Assn. of School teachers, AARP and moved to the area from California 13 years ago.

Survivors include her husband, Floyd Gilbert of the home; two sons, Orlo Gilbert, Collegedale, Tenn., and Don Gilbert, Singapore, China; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Gilbert, Belle Fouche, S.D.; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Gentry Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Elmer Malcolm, elder, officiating. Burial will be in Gentry Cemetery under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Visitation hours will be Sunday, 7-8:30 p.m. in Wasson's Chapel, Siloam Springs. Memorials may be made to the Ozark Academy Fund, Gentry.
