Obituary

John Stroud, 50, of Ward, Arkansas, was born January 6, 1962, at Irving, Texas, to Robbie and Olga (Vranich) Stroud, and he died Wednesday, April 18, 2012. He was a Christian, a member of Beebe First United Methodist Church and worked for the State of Arkansas, Department of Finance and Administration for twenty-nine years. He and his wife, Connie were members of the Gold Wing Riders Club.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Connie Stroud; his son, Riley and wife Mallory of Dallas, Texas; his father, Robbie Stroud of Beebe; his brother, Robbie Stroud, Jr. and wife Denise of Beebe; niece and nephews; Heather Stroud, Jennifer Tharp, Kimberly Bearden, Steven Weiss, Robin Peters, Jeffrey and Stanley Dutton, Wesley Young, Tonya Larson; sisters-in-law, Linda Roberts and Kathy Hawley; brother-in-law, Gary Dutton and wife, Pam; several great nieces, nephews and his dog, Rocky. John was preceded in death by his mother.

Family received friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral was 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
