Sunday, November 10, 1974
Dempsey L. Harp, 52, 303 Carlton, Springdale, was dead on arrival Nov. 8 at Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born May 3, 1922, at Springdale, he was the son of Ward and Lucinda Graham Harp, a member of the Church of Christ, veteran of World War II with service in the U.S. Army, a member of VFW and DAV. He was a retired farmer and a lifetime resident of the area.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Hirt Harp of the home, to whom he was married April 11, 1950; his step-mother, Mrs. Callie Harp, Springdale; three brothers, Bill Harp and Willard Harp, Springdale, and Howard Harp, Decatur; and one sister, Mrs. Sara Sue Mayes, Bentonville.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Sisco Chapel. Burial will be in Sonora Cemetery under the direction of Sisco.
Note: Evelyn J. Olson Harp Tillotson died March 19, 1995 and is buried at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR
