STRAWBERRY - Ruth Hooten Fowler, 92, of Strawberry died Sunday, July 7, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. Born at Lynn, she had lived in Strawberry most of her life and was a homemaker and a member of the Strawberry Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Cephus Junior Fowler of Horseshoe Bend; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dee Fowler; and her parents, Josephus and Amanda Robinson Hooten.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Strawberry Church of Christ, with Don R. House and A.J. Stracener officiating. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery near Strawberry under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Lynn.

Pallbearers will be Bill Bristow, Jackie Bristow, David Lewis, Fred Lewis, Sloan Durham and Eddie Durham.

Memorials may be made to Paragould Children’s Home, 5515 Old Walcott Road, Paragould 72450.
