Melvin Marcus Fowler the son of John Calvin Fowler and Beulah (Bulliner/Bullaner) Fowler. Elaine Genevieve (Hensrud) Fowler the daughter of Oscar Hensrud and Ida (Docken) Hensrud.

Melvin and Elaine had one son, Stephen, who resides in California.

Elaine Genevieve Hensrud Fowler went to be with God on her 92nd birthday. She was born March 2, 1917 in Lakeville Township North Dakota.

She is survived by son, Steven Fowler, and his wife, Karen of Lincoln, Calif.; grandchildren, Jason and Crystal Fowler, Mark Fowler, Paul and Molly Fowler and Connie Fowler of Sacramento, Calif.; sisters, Charlotte McMullen of Mayville, N.D., Arlene Ebersole of Ocean City Maryland, Shirley Anthony of Stockton, Calif.; and Karen Maher of Modesto, Calif.

Elaine is predeceased by her parents, Oscar and Ida (Docken) Hensrud; sister, Inez Hensrud and Lucille Pitt; brothers, Elwood Hensrud and Lloyd Hensrud; and beloved husband, Melvin Fowler (1982).

Visitation will be held at the Lincoln Funeral Home on Thursday, March 5, 2009 between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The Funeral will be held at the Lincoln Funeral Home on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 11 a.m. burial to follow at the Lincoln Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to either Sutter Roseville Hospice or Grace Lutheran Church in Lincoln, CA.
