Bonnie Harris, 90, a resident of Russellville, died Monday, February 25, 2013, at Arkansas River Valley Hospice Home in Russellville.
A daughter of Seal and Vada Viola Langley Smith, she was born December 10, 1922, in Dalark, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Russellville Missionary Baptist Church. She loved spending time with family and grandchildren and enjoyed flowers, gardening, crocheting, cooking and needle work. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J. W. Harris; a son, Gary Harris; a brother, Claude Smith; and a sister, Geraldine Thomas.
Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Linda and Chuck Hughes of New Albany, MS, Judy Hendren of Siloam Springs and Betsy Harris of Clarksville; one son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Penny Harris of Russellville; five grandchildren and their spouses, Bill and Misty Hughes of New Albany, MS, Jennifer and Darin Thaxton of Dardanelle, Alison Hall of Kansas City, MO, Jill and Brian Anderson of Dover, Lindsey and Wes Ellis of Little Rock; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 1, 2013, at Humphrey Chapel with the Rev. James Findley officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park at Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service.
Active pallbearers will be Darin, Devin and Austin Thaxton, Brian Anderson, Bill Hughes and Wes Ellis. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Russellville Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Thursday, at the funeral home.
