Daughter of Adolph and Elizabeth Ebbing Fritsche
Rose Koch of Paris passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013 in Paris. She was born July 30, 1917 in the Shoal Creek community in Logan County to the late Adolph and Elizabeth (Ebbing) Fritsche. She was 96 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L.; son, Robert; daughter, Elizabeth Patty and husband, Bob; daughter-in-law, Charlene Koch; sister, Marie Anhalt; and brother, George Fritsche. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed sewing and gardening. She and her late husband were retired from dairy farming. She was a member of St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Shoal Creek until 1962 when she and John moved to Paris and joined Joseph's Catholic Church. She was also a member of St. Joseph's Mother Society.
She is survived by three sons; James of Russellville; John Paul and wife Judy of Paris; and Mike of Clarksville; one daughter: Cindy Cole and husband Eddie of Branch; two brothers: Joe Fritsche and wife Mildred of Scranton; and Ben Fritsche and wife Anna Lou of Fort Smith; 20 grandchildren: Lisa Etzkorn, Larry Joe Lux, Virginia Carr, Bobby Lux, Michelle Farnam, Steve Lux, Greg Koch, Karen Koch, Chris Koch, Paula Cooper, Laura Koch, J. P. Koch, Robert Koch, Newt Koch, Carl Koch, Crystal Davis, Jyme Beth Diffee, Carrie Couthren, Cassie Cole, and Audra Coffman; 41 great grandchildren; 25 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Rosary service will be 7 p.m., Thursday, October 24, at St. Joseph's Church. Officiating the service will be Abbot Jerome Kodell, O.S.B. Family will visit with friends following the rosary service. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 on Friday, October 25 with Fr. Eugene Luke O.S.B. and Deacon Robert Cowie officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Her granddaughters will be honorary pallbearers.
