Dr. Robert Mitchell Owens, 40, of Gentry died Jan. 11, 1991, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 17, 1950, in Springdale to Joe Robert Owens and Dee Douthit Owens.
He was a graduate of Berryville High School, and the University of Arkansas, with a master's degree in chemistry and the University of Arkansas Pharmacy School.
He was also the owner of A-1 Pest Control, where he worked as an exterminator before attending pharmacy school. He was a pharmacist at Dillons in Fayetteville.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Owens of the home; a son, Robby Owens of the home; a daughter, Leslee Owens of the home; his mother, Dee Douthitt Owens of Siloam Springs; two sisters, Cherlyn Hill of Springfield, Mo., and Ruth High of Miami, Okla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services are 10 a.m. today at Wasson Memorial Chapel, by the Rev. Dennis Jech. Burial will be in Gentry Cemetery by Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
