Wynona C. McClain, 89, of Rogers, died Feb. 15 at St. Mary's-Rogers Memorial Hospital. Born Oct. 28, 1897, in Oak Forest, to Samuel R. Russell and Elaine M. Russell, she moved to the Rogers area in 1921, and had spent most of her life here. She had worked for Fox Deluxe Foods, Progressive Life Insurance Company and Jim Croxdale's IGA store. She was a member of the eastern star, and of Central United Methodist Church, where she had taught Sunday school for 22 years and was active in the Homemakers class and the Wesleyan Service Guild. She was past president of the United Methodist women and the Toastmistress Club in Rogers. Survivors are a daughter, Adelle McClain of the home; two brothers, Max Russell of Rogers and Rex Russell of Marianna, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service is set for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Central United Methodist Church in Rogers, with the Rev. Robert l. Hager officiating. Burial is to be in Rogers Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. today at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Rogers. Memorials may be made to the Central United Methodist Church.
