Linda Jane Evans, 66, of Little Rock, was called by the Lord on Monday, September 3, 2007. She was born on March 20, 1941, in Alexander, Arkansas, to John David and Mildred Miller Bray. She was employed by Levi Strauss, Inc. in customer service, and was a member of The Church At Rock Creek.
Linda defined beauty and courage. She was not only a beautiful person, but she also had a beautiful, loving and courageous spirit. She was a true angel! She showed her courage each day as she battled the very rare disease of Chordoma Tumor.
Linda's greatest love was her family. She enjoyed going on "road trips" anywhere she could with her husband and who ever else wanted to join. She was an adventurer and loved to see whatever she hadn't already.
She was preceded in death by her father, and a sister, Sandra Kilburn.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 47 years, Majel Evans; sons, Majel Evans, Jr., and his fiancée, Jody Shepherd, of Little Rock, Steven Evans, and his fiancée, Sheri Hylton, of Vilonia; daughter, Tonya Bell, and her husband, Jack; mother, Mildred Bray; brothers, Ronnie Muller and James David Bray; sister, Rachel Jackson; grandchildren, Heather Moore, Jessica Evans and Gunner Evans; great grandchild, Cameron Evans; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 8, 2007, at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home Chapel (501)455-5800, with Pastor Paul Truett officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Centerpoint Cemetery in Quitman, Arkansas.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, you may send memorials in the name of Linda Evans to: Chordoma Research, UAMS Foundation Department of Neurosurgery, 4301 West Markham, Slot 507, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205. She would love to help and find a cure for this very rare disease. She is already missesd by all.
