Mrs. Ena D. Evans, 48, of Quitman died Friday (Feb. 11, 2000) at Conway Regional Medical Center.

Born Nov. 8, 1591, in San Jose, Calif., a daughter of the late Homer C. and Brannon Williams Wright, she was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors are her husband, John Evans; a son, Mark Evans of Quitman; two brothers, Clifford Plemons of Moore, Okla., and James C. Wright of Owasso, Okla.; and two sisters, Clydeen Lindsey of Quitman and Darleene Morse of Fairfield, Texas.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Center Point Freewill Baptist Church in Quitman with the Rev. Charles Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Center Point Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Pat Pike, Bill Pike, Lois Morton, Bill Kerr, Bruce Ivy and Mike Taylor.

Mr. Johnny Ray Evans, age 60, of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2003, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born at Quitman, Arkansas, on February 28, 1943, he was the son of the late Ralph and Vernice (Atterberry) Evans. Mr. Evans was a lifetime resident of Quitman, and he was a paint and body worker. His religious belief was Baptist. His wife, Ena Evans, preceded him in death. Mr. Evans is survived by one son, Mark Evans of Quitman, AR, and four brothers, Bennie Evans of Greenbrier, AR, Dan Evans of Bee Branch, AR, and Rick Evans and Tim Evans, both of Quitman, Arkansas. Mr. Evans is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.
