HALL, Cora – {from The Fayetteville Republican} Mrs. Cora Hall, wife of our esteemed business man, E.B. Hall, died this morning at her home on West Center street after a short illness in her 25th year. Mrs. Hall, although having lived in our city only a few months over a year, had greatly endeared herself to a large circle of friends and her sad and untimely death is deplored. Besides a loving husband, a little babe three months old is bereft of a mother's tender care. The funeral was held at the residence this afternoon at 4 o'clock, Rev. Ford officiating. The remains were buried in Evergreen Cemetery beside the grave of the deceased's grandfather, Peter Van Winkle.

HALL, Cora VAN WINKLE – So few of our citizens knew of the serious illness of Mrs. E.B. Hall of Fayetteville that the announcement of her death at that place early Tuesday morning was an unexpected shock. Her death was caused by quick consumption and she was not ill for more than two or three weeks, through she had been troubled with a cold for some time before. Her life was despaired of several times last week. The best medical aid that could be secured from Fayetteville, Rogers and Eureka Springs was called in but without avail. The funeral was held at the home of the deceased Tuesday at four p.m. and was conducted by Rev. Ford of the C.P. church. The remains were laid to rest in the city cemetery. Those from Rogers who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Van Winkle, the parents of the deceased, and their immediate family, Mr. and Mrs. J.A.C. Blackburn, Mr. and Mrs. Wythe Walker, Mrs. J.B. Steele, Mrs. L.E. Scriber, Mrs. Ed Cruse, Mrs. H.T Jackman and Mrs. E.R. Adamson. There were also a number present from Lowell. The death of Mrs. Hall will recall to the memory of our citizens the happy wedding day of February 2, 1899 when Miss Cora Van Winkle became the wife of E.B. Hall. The bride, a resident of our city, and the groom, but recently one of our young business men, entered married. Life under auspices unusually bright. Just one month ago the writer visited a visit to their parents, with Baby Ruth, then just three months old. The visit was never made. The mother was called upon to go to her and was with her when she died. Miss Cora Van Winkle was born in November 1875 on War Eagle river, this county. She resided with her parents at Lowell a number of years but at the time of her marriage, was clerking in this city for H.L. Stroud. She attended Rogers Academy for one year. She was one of our most popular girls. She was a niece of Mrs. J.B. Steele and J.A.C. Blackburn and is related to many of our citizens.

Mrs. Cora Hall, the child's mother, died just four weeks previous and her mother has since had the care of the infant daughter. Mr. Hall was here when the baby died. The remains were taken to Fayetteville on the noon train Tuesday and after a short funeral service at the home of the father there, interred in the cemetery beside the grave of the mother.
