SPRINGDALE — Violet May Hall, 89, of Springdale, died May 27, 2011, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born July 20, 1921, in Fort Smith, to Pete and Pearl Johnston Poor. She and her husband owned and operated Hall's Saw Mill for marry years. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, her flowers and traveling with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence Hall; as well as three sisters; and one brother.
She is survived by two sons, Leon Hall Jr. and wife, Gaylynn, of Carthage, Mo., and Vernon Duncan of Libby, Mont.; two daughters, Glenda Berry and husband, Bill, of Gravette and Betty Black of Camdenton, Mo.; two brothers, Virgil Poor of Sunset, Ark., and Van Poor of Winslow; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, with the Rev. Lloyd Johnston officiating. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 29, 2011, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
