Zola Wallace Hooten, 83, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2008. She was born on September 21, 1924 in Tulia, Texas to the late Floyd H. and Ollie Hall Wallace. She was a retired nurse and a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, George James Wallace and a sister, Helen Mode.
She is survived by two sons, Mike Hooten, and his wife, Laura, of Denver, Colorado and Dan Hooten of San Marcos, California; her brother, Wayne Wallace of Ames, Iowa; her sister, Modene Shumate of Portageville, Missouri; and one granddaughter, Leah Hooten-Clark, and her husband, Ivan, of Baltimore, Maryland.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 2, 2008, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, (501)224-8300, with Bob Dunaway officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Quitman Cemetery, Quitman, Arkansas.
