TINNIN, James - James Tinnin of Maysville, aged sixty-six years, one of the oldest settlers in the west end of the county, died at his home Monday morning after an illness of about four months. His remains were interred in the cemetery at Maysville Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. He leaves a wife and 8 children to mourn his loss.

TINNIN, Emma Evelyn HAYDEN - Mrs. E.E. Tinnin, better known as Grandma Tinnin, died at the home of her son, G.C. Tinnin, one mile north of Maysville Tuesday. She was about seventy years of age. She is survived by six daughters: Mrs. Powell of Maysville; Mrs. Sterling Rodgers of Amarillo, Texas; Mrs. C.B. Lynch of Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. C.M. Kelly of Tulsa; Mrs. Lulu Duncan of Boswell, N.M. and Mrs. Hattie Gore of Neosho, Mo. Also two sons, G.C. Tinnin and Walter Tinnin of Boyfield, Colorado. Mrs. Tinnin was one of the pioneers of west Benton county and was known and loved far and wide. The funeral services were largely attended.

Emma Evelyn Hayden was born near Bentonville, Ark. July 14, 1851; was converted at the age of 13 years and joined the Presbyterian church of which she remained a faithful member until her death. In the year of 1867 she was married to James Preston Tinnin; nine children being born to this union, one of which and the husband preceded her to the great beyond. She leaves six daughters: Mrs. S.M. Rogers, Tulia, Tex.; Mrs. C.M. Kelley, Catoosa, Okla.; Mrs. C.B. Lynch, Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. G.D. Duncan, Boswell, Okla.; Mrs. Harriet T. Gore, Neosho, Mo. and Mrs. J.T. Powell of Maysville, Ark.; also two sons, W.H., Boyfield, Colo. and G.C. of Maysville, at whose home she passed away. A host of friends mourn her loss. She was a faithful wife, true Christian and loving mother; always doing for others and not thinking of herself. Bro. J.M. Haley delivered a very touching funeral address May 18 after which she was laid to rest beside her husband in the Tinnin cemetery. A Friend Who Loved Her.
