Fred Tinnin, well known throughout Benton county, took his own life last Saturday morning with a pistol at his home in Bentonville. He left no word as to the cause of the deed but his friends think it was committed during a spell of despondency. The funeral held Sunday, was conducted at the home of his mother, Mrs. Mollie Tinnin, conducted by Revs. Peter Carnahan and Wheat of the Presbyterian church. Over two hundred people, including a large number of friends from his former home, Maysville, were present at the services. Besides his mother, a brother, John Tinnin, who lives at Maysville, survives him. Fred was born in Maysville about thirty-four years ago. His father, Wm. Tinnin, conducted a general store in that place, succeeding his father, Hugh Tinnin, who had established it before the Civil War. Maysville was an important trading point in early days and a great deal of merchandise was freighted from Bentonville to Maysville at that time.
