George Brown Tinnin was born Sept. 4, 1878 and died Sept. 10, 1929. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Tinnin, pioneer Benton County settlers and merchants of Maysville. He was married to Gonia Edmonson to which union were born two daughters, Lucile and Patsy, who are both married and who reside in Florida. Mr. Tinnin lived in Maysville until about ten years ago when he moved to Boston. He died in the Memorial Hospital at Brighton, Maine. The funeral was held in the old Presbyterian Church at Maysville and the body laid to rest in the Tinnin Cemetery. The funeral was attended by a large concourse of his many friends and relatives. Noticeably those who paused at the bier were many of his older friends of that other day when he lived among them and was ever ready to assist in business or legal transactions, which assistance from a large experience
he was able to render. He will be remembered for a kindly spirit of fellowship and good will for his fellowman. Mrs. Tinnin, who accompanied the body home, is a sister of Mrs. Richard Croker. Before returning she visited friends in Maysville and in Gravette as well as in Bentonville.
