ELKINS — Darrell Lee Turner, 61, of Elkins died April 24, 2005, at his home. He was born Aug. 28, 1943, in Durham to Floyd Ray and Dorothy Milan Turner. He was retired from the city of Fayetteville and was a Pentecostal.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Lee Turner of Elkins; one daughter, Judy Ann Lewis of Elkins; his mother of Durham; four brothers, Ralph Turner of Fort Worth, Texas, Bill Turner of Durham, Jerry Turner of Farmington and Bobby Turner of Elkins; five sisters, Ruby Hollingsworth of Elkins, Maybell Hall of Patrick, Evelyn Patrick of Durham, Ellen Turner of Brentwood and Patsy Turner of Durham; four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at McCord Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Moore's.
