SETSER, Richard J. - Brother Richard J. Setser, youngest brother of our ex-Representative, died on the 13th inst. of pneumonia and typhus fever at the home of his father-in-law, A.B. Wayts, near Batie, this county. Brother Setser was born near Pactolus, this county, on the 29th of Sept. 1869 and was therefore, at the time of his death 24 years, 3 months and 14 days old. He leaves a lovely wife and a little precious daughter, a precious mother and a large family of christian brothers and sisters, together with friends to mourn his loss. He was a member in good standing in the Baptist church at Mt. Enterprise and a teacher in the Benton county schools. Brother Richard's remains were conveyed to the place of interment on the 15th inst. and after a very feeling and appropriate discourse delivered by Bro. J.M. McCrow, the remains were decently laid away in their final resting place in the Word cemetery surrounded by a large assemblage of weeping relatives and friends. His little family and relatives have the sympathy of the writer and we commend them to the condolence of a sympathizing public and recommend that a copy of the paper be sent to his wife Junia Setser at Batie, his mother Berthana Setser, Pactolus, to the writer at Pactolus, John H. Setser, Decatur, J.L. Setser, Abilene, Texas, J.M. Setser, Nunn, Texas, J.R. Setser, Oso, Wash. W.H. Williams.
